(Kuala Lumpur, 25th) Local comedian Zizan Razak recently disclosed that he has been deceived by multiple individuals, including friends, who persuaded him to invest in various business ventures. However, after receiving his money, these individuals disappeared without a trace, resulting in financial losses amounting to millions of ringgit.
According to Guang Ming Daily, the 40-year-old entertainer shared that he has been a victim of multiple scams, mostly involving loans and investment schemes. The perpetrators, some of whom were friends, initially gained his trust before vanishing once they secured the funds.
He clarified that these fraudulent incidents were mainly linked to financial investments and loans and had no connection to his Malay traditional clothing business.
“There were people who borrowed money from me, and others who approached me with business proposals, convincing me to invest. But as soon as they got the money, they disappeared.”
“Losing millions is a significant blow, but I choose to see it as a test of my resilience.”
Despite the financial setback, Zizan remains optimistic and has attempted to recover his funds, though he refuses to demean himself in the process.
“I will continue seeking repayment, but I won’t plead for it. Instead, I’ll focus on my work because I believe that God provides opportunities and blessings (Rezeki). I see this experience as a learning curve.”
He added that he harbors no resentment toward those who scammed him, believing that divine justice will prevail and that they will eventually face the consequences of their actions.
“They might appear to be doing well, but deep down, I doubt they have peace of mind. I believe they won’t be able to sleep soundly at night.”
