Kuala Lumpur, January 14 – A terrifying incident unfolded on the Putrajaya/Cyberjaya Expressway when a lorry caught fire in motion, forcing its 70-year-old driver to jump out to save his life.

     

     


The Incident

According to Sepang Police Chief ACP Wan Kamarul Azran, the lorry, driven by an Indian man, was traveling from Labohan Dagang to Puchong when the driver noticed smoke coming from the engine at around 6:30 PM.

  • The driver attempted to pull over, but the flames quickly intensified, leaving him no choice but to jump from the moving vehicle.
  • The unmanned lorry continued to roll a short distance before coming to a stop, completely engulfed in flames.

Fireball on the Road

Videos circulating online show the lorry transforming into a moving fireball, veering toward the roadside before halting. The shocking footage has left netizens in awe at the dramatic escape.


Driver’s Condition

The driver sustained minor injuries but managed to inform the vehicle owner of the incident. The owner has since filed a police report regarding the incident.
