Police Launch Mobile App to Report Misconduct by Officers

(Kuala Lumpur, 5th) — Witnessed a police officer acting inappropriately? The public can now report such misconduct through a mobile application!

The police have officially launched a mobile app platform called “Aduan JIPS PDRM”, urging the public to report any misconduct involving abuse of power, integrity issues, or other improper behavior by police officers via the app. The authorities will take appropriate action in response.

Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS) Director Datuk Seri Azri told Guang Ming Daily that the app serves as an additional complaint platform, fully operated by the Complaint Management Division (CPA) under Bukit Aman’s Integrity Department. It aims to provide the public with a fast, safe, and transparent way to report misconduct and submit information about errant officers.

He revealed that users must register after downloading the app to submit information, check complaint updates, and receive feedback.

"The main purpose of creating this new complaint platform is to prevent sensitive information from spreading through unsuitable channels, while also speeding up the process of handling and responding to complaints," he explained.

He noted that the system helps standardize and streamline complaint management across police departments, and it includes a regularly updated database that consolidates data for statistical reporting. This supports strategic planning, governance improvement, and integrity enhancement within the police force.

Azri added that the CPA is committed to handling all forms of complaints in a professional, responsible, and proactive manner — from receiving, reviewing, classifying, and registering complaints to assigning and monitoring follow-up actions.

The public is encouraged to download the “Aduan JIPS PDRM” app via the Google Play Store for Android devices or the Apple App Store for iOS devices.
